What is the ekklesia?

The gathering of at least 2 or 3 believers presided by the Holy Spirit around the Manifest Presence of Jesus with the authority to bind and release for God's will to be done, on earth, as it is in heaven.

Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them. (Matthew 18:18-20, NIV)

Ekklesia: Rediscovering God's Instrument for Global Transformation

It's no secret that the church today has lost its influence in culture. But why? With the technology, affluence, and knowledge we have today, why are we less effective than the first-century church-- which didn't have social media, fancy buildings, professional pastors, or even religious freedom?

What are we missing?

In these vital, eye-opening pages, bestselling author Ed Siloso takes you back to the first day of the church. Digging into Scripture, he shows how the New Testament church -- devoid of buildings, professional clergy, and religious freedom -- was able to transform the hostile, pagan places into which it was born and set in motion a process that changed the world forever.

Even more, Silvoso offers a roadmap back to becoming the ekklesia Jesus called his church to be. In the midst of the social, economic, political, and moral chaos in our world today, we possess the hope that people and nations so desperately need -- and we can become the revolutionary, transformational, life-giving voice Jesus called us to be.
